IS Took Responsibility For Fidayeen Attack On Mosque In Afghanistan, Said We Targeted Shias!
A loud explosion occurred during Friday prayers in Kunduz, Afghanistan. In this 100 people died and many were injured. The blast was targeted at Hazara Shia Mosque. The doctor of Kunduz Central Hospital said that till now we have found 35 bodies in the hospital and more than 50 injured have been admitted. At the same time, bodies of 15 people have been found in another hospital run by Doctors Without Borders (MSF). Terrorist organization IS has claimed responsibility for this attack.
This is the biggest attack in the country since the formation of the Taliban government in Afghanistan. Matiullah Rouhani, director of culture and information in Kunduz, said it was a suicide attack, while Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said several people had been killed in the blast at the mosque in Kunduz. It is believed that the ISIS-Khorasan faction operating in Afghanistan may be behind this blast. ISIS has been opposing Shia Muslims. At the same time, he is also opposed to the Hazaras and other minority Muslim communities.
On Sunday, there was an explosion near the Idgah mosque of
Kabul. Prayers were to be made on the death of Mujahid's mother near the mosque. The terrorists targeted this prayer meeting itself. Mujahid's mother had passed away a few days back.
